The MEI Virtual Conference (hereafter referred to as ‘Event’) to be held on 2-3 July 2020 is organised by Mathematics in Education and Industry (hereafter referred to as ‘MEI’).
These Terms & Conditions apply to every person registering to attend the Event (hereafter ‘You’).
By submitting an online registration, you acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions.
By submitting an online registration, you confirm that the information you submit is accurate, true and complete.
MEI will send you an email confirming that your registration has been received.
MEI reserve the right to reject any registration request received.
You will receive joining instructions via email to the email address provided on the booking form.
Data protection and privacy
Any data, including personal data, that you provide to MEI in relation to the Event will be processed in accordance with MEI’s Privacy Notice.
Changes and cancellation
The Event is subject to cancellation, postponement or alteration at MEI’s discretion.
If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify MEI as soon as possible by emailing [email protected].
In the unlikely situation that cancellation, postponement or alteration of the Event occurs, MEI will notify you by email as soon as possible.
MEI accepts no liability for expenditure, loss or damage resulting from cancellation, postponement or alteration of the conference.
Content and Intellectual Property
Copyright and all other intellectual property rights for all presentations and teaching, learning or training materials (hereafter “Content”) provided during the Event shall remain the property of MEI or their respective owners.
Whilst MEI take reasonable care to ensure that the Content is accurate and complete, some of it is supplied by third parties and MEI is unable to check its accuracy or completeness. You should verify the accuracy of any information (whether supplied by MEI or third parties) before relying on it. The Content is provided on an “AS IS” basis without any warranties of any kind (express or implied). MEI hereby exclude to the fullest extent permitted by law all liabilities, costs, claims, damages, losses and/or expenses arising from any inaccuracy or omission in the Content or arising from any infringing, defamatory or otherwise unlawful material in the Content.
You agree not to distribute, reproduce, modify, transfer, sell or hire any Content provided during the Event.
You may use Content provided during the Event to support your own teaching.
You agree not to audio or video record any part of the Event using any recording device, unless specifically agreed by MEI.
The conference and associated MEI websites may link to other websites and online tools provided for the convenience of the delegates. The contents of these websites are maintained by their owners, for which MEI no responsibility. Neither can responsibility be taken for contents of any website linking to this website.
Views expressed by guest speakers and sponsors are their own. MEI shall not be responsible or liable for any advice given, or views expressed, by any speaker and/or sponsor or in any material provided.
MEI shall not be responsible or liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage of any sort incurred as the result of the services or information provided in connection with the conference.
MEI reserve the right at all times to change, amend, add or remove any of the above terms without prior notice.
If one or more of the conditions outlined in these Terms & Conditions should be or become invalid, the remaining conditions will continue to be valid and apply.
