Some gems from the admissions tests

Phil Chaffé

10:30-11:30, Thursday 30 June

Session description

The MAT, TMUA and STEP examinations are carefully written. Each year there are some lovely questions that can lead to students gaining an insight into something they've been taught at A level or show a surprising result or even just be straight fun to tackle. Phil will show you some of the questions that he has found particularly insightful, interesting and fun and consider how they could be used with A level students to improve their mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills.

This session is suitable for A level maths teachers with an interest in stretching and challenging all of their students.

Interests: A level Mathematics / Further MathematicsEnrichment
