Session description

This will be an opportunity to explore real world scenarios and applications of linear programming.

This session is of interest to anyone who wants to know more about applications of Linear Programming. Particularly useful to those teaching Discrete/Decision maths at A level or Edexcel's Core Maths qualification.

About the speakers

Before joining MEI, James spent his career as a teacher in London maths classrooms and later as an Area Coordinator. At MEI, James works on several projects including national student enrichment events, the Teaching Discrete and the Further mA*ths courses. James is also a London AMSP Area Coordinator.

After graduating in Mathematics and gaining his PGCE, Jeff spent more than 30 years in the classroom, including 18 years as Head of Maths, before his current role as a Central Coordinator for the AMSP. He enjoys presenting professional development and now leads the Teaching Discrete Mathematics course.
