The new web version of Autograph

Douglas Butler and Rob Smith

16:30-17:30, Thursday 30 June

Session description

Autograph has been with us since the 1990s and in 2020 it reached it's final version 5 for desktop PC. It was then purchased by La Salle Education and turned into a free download. A re-write for the web (and hence for any device) is well under way and this session will look at a number of lesson plans from Key Stages 3-5.

Teachers in Y10-13 will discover a new classroom resource and will have the chance to try it out on whatever device they bring along.

Interests: A level Mathematics / Further MathematicsUse of technology in teaching maths

About the speakers

After Cambridge University and a spell in industry, Douglas has taught secondary mathematics, and was heavily involved in the development of the original versions of Autograph. In the 1980s he was Chairman of MEI, and subsequently ran a long series of popular TSM residential workshops (Technology for Secondary Mathematics). He is now based in the beautiful town of Cirencester.

After 10 years in the classroom, Rob now works for La Salle Education and is heavily involved with testing the new web version of Autograph.
