This session is aimed at key stage 3 teachers wanting to explore how free internet games can be used as inspiration for maths lessons. There will be classroom-ready resources to take away.

Please bring your own device which can access the internet. (Note some of the examples will be Flash-based and will therefore not work on Apple iPads and iPhones).

Assumed knowledge

A basic knowledge of the underlying mathematical content is expected.

About the speaker(s)

Debbie Barker is MEI's Coordinator for CPD in teaching at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Prior to joining MEI in 2012, her teaching role included working as a PGCE subject mentor, Advanced Skills Teacher of Mathematics and Head of Department.
